Question 1:  Is it OK to bring food or snacks down to the beach?

Answer:  The Association By-Laws state that eating down at the beach is not allowed.  Alcohol is not allowed on the beach property either.  We are continuously working on ways to rid ourselves of the geese, and their daily pound of droppings they leave behind.  Eating on the beach would just add to that problem.  On the other hand, we have always allowed members to have a snack or eat lunch at the rocks, providing all garbage is disposed of properly.  So the answer is, yes, you can bring a snack, drink or lunch to the beach, just be prepared to eat or drink it back by the rocks.  And, No, you can't drink alcohol down at the beach, not even on the rocks!

Question 2:  Can we park our vehicles and trailers down at the beach while we are on the lake?

Answer:  Sorry, the answer is No.  The only way to fit a vehicle and trailer without blocking the road is to park sideways in the rocks.  Although we have room for quite a few cars it would only take a few with trailers parked sideways before we were all out of space.  Please bring your trailer back to your residence before going out on the lake.

Question 3:  Is there a lifeguard down at the beach?

Answer:  No. There is no lifeguard down at the beach.  We hire a beach guard to clean up the seaweed, goose droppings, and police our beach for us.  This person checks anyone entering the beach for membership tags, and makes sure all the members follow the rules while they are down at the beach as well.  This is a big job, please be happy when the beach guard asks to see your tags, she's just keeping your park and beach area "private" and "exclusive" to LVVA members.
